L293D Motor Driver shield for Arduino
The L293D motor shield for Arduino is designed as a full-featured motor shield that will be able to power many simple to medium-complexity projects. This motor driver shield can be used to drive up to 4 DC motors. (up to 600MA and 36v). It can also be used to drive up to 2 Stepper Motors and Servo Motors. The L293D driver shield for Arduino is integrated with a 2-pin terminal block and jumper to connect external power, for separate logic/motor supplies.
Features:
Two 5V 'hobby' servo connections to the Arduino's high-resolution dedicated timer
L293D chipset provides 0.6A per bridge (1.2A peak) with thermal shutdown protection and internal kickback protection diodes on four H-bridges. Motors can be powered by 4.5VDC to 25VDC.
Up to four bidirectional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection (for a resolution of about 0.5%).
Up to two unipolar or bipolar stepper motors with single coil, double coil, or interleaved stepping.
Pull-down resistors disable motors during power-up.
Large terminal block connectors for connecting wires (18-26AWG) and power.

For separate logic/motor supplies, a 2-pin terminal block and a jumper are used to connect external power.
Compatible with the Arduino Mega 1280 and 2560, as well as the Diecimila, Duemilanove, and UNO.
